Norway’s International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI). NORAD.
• Two stage call for civil society projects contributing to reduced tropical forest loss.
• Supporting ambitious policies for sustainable forest and land use in tropical forest countries; Improved rights and livelihoods for Indigenous Peoples, and local communities in tropical forest countries; Reduced forest crime; Sustainable commodity production, trade, and finance.
• Priority countries: Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, DR Congo, Gabon, Ethiopia, and Indonesia.
• Open to civil society organizations, consortia, and intermediaries (especially Indigenous-led or in close partnership with forest communities); applicants must demonstrate capacity to meet objectives and report on fund distribution.
• Must be for projects for 3 years. NOK15m - 75m per year (about $1m - $7m USD per year).

Sustainable Ocean and Blue Economy in Central Africa (ODEBAC). EuropeAid.
• Improve the sustainable and integrated use of marine resources and stimulate inclusive economic growth.
• Conservation, Blue Economy, Governance.
• São Tomé and the island of Príncipe.
• Eligible to non-profits and NGOs from eligible countries including: a) EU member states13 ; b) IAP III beneficiaries; c) European Economic Area countries15 ; d) developing countries and territories (as listed by the OECD DAC as ODA recipients) with projects in the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe.
• €2m.

Environmental protection and support to natural resources and tourism value chains EuropeAid.
• Promote an approach that integrates environmental protection and the development of sustainable, inclusive and gender-sensitive value chains.

• Providing funding to organizations that empower and support women and girls in low-income and marginalized communities in the Global South.

Reducing Nitrification Risks Through Collaboration Between Drinking Water Wholesalers and Consecutive Systems (5348). The Water Research Foundation.
• To catalog the roles and responsibilities of wholesale and consecutive systems—including regulatory requirements, water quality, and operations—and to develop best practices for roles and responsibilities of wholesale and consecutive systems.
• To identify and share strategies that promote communications and collaborations between drinking water wholesale and consecutive systems.
• To develop best practices for effective collaboration between wholesale and consecutive systems in managing nitrification risks.
• To provide guidance to consecutive utilities on preventing, detecting, and responding to nitrification events, including low-level nitrification events.
• Research, water monitoring.
• Eligible to both U.S.-based and non-U.S.-based entities, including educational institutions, research organizations, governmental agencies, and consultants or other for-profit entities.
• $100k. 33% co-funding from the project.
• May 7, 2025.
